Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth rankedShizuoka and one of their biggest challengers Nishinomiya S. had identical 9-7 record. Nishinomiya S.'s coach rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Shizuoka (10-7) moved-up to third place, which they share with Kumamoto V. and Aomori W. Loser Nishinomiya S. dropped to the fifth position with eight games lost.
