Regular Season Round 7: Aomori W. - Shiga L-Stars 91-84

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 4th placed Shiga L-Stars' (9-6) road loss to third ranked Aomori W. (9-6) 84-91 on Saturday. Aomori W. looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Czech Patrik Auda (206-1989, college: Seton Hall, agency: Octagon Europe) fired a double-double by scoring 26 points and 16 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. American forward Jordan Hamilton (201-1990, college: Texas) chipped in 14 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. American forward Justin Burrell (204-1988, college: St.John's) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and American-German power forward Ryan Kriener (208-1998, college: Iowa, agency: Pensack Sports) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Shiga L-Stars players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Aomori W. moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Shiga L-Stars. Aomori W. will meet Kumamoto V. (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Shiga L-Stars will play against Ehime OV in Matsuyama and hope to secure a win and be promoted back to the B1 League just one year after relegation.
