Regular Season Round 7: Fukui B. - Tokyo HT 92-74

The game had a very big importance for fourth-ranked Fukui B. as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Fukui B. defeated much higher ranked Tokyo HT at home 92-74. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Tokyo HT. It was a key game for the top position in the league. It was a great evening for American guard Tray Boyd III (193-1998, college: ETSU) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 5 assists (made all of his eight free throws). British forward Benjamin Lawson (216-1995, college: WKU) helped adding 13 points and 9 rebounds. Four Fukui B. players scored in double figures. At the losing side Spanish center David Doblas (208-1981) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and Kodai Takahashi (180-1991) scored 15 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with 7 other teams including defeated Tokyo HT. Tokyo HT will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Fukui B. will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked Tokyo HT at home.
