Very expected game when 11th ranked Gifu (3-4) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Tokushima Gam. (5-2) 86-76 on Saturday. Strangely Gifu outrebounded Tokushima Gam. 40-28 including a 21-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. American power forward Tavrion Dawson (202-1996, college: CSUN, agency: One Motive Sports) fired 28 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. His fellow American import power forward Jeremy Combs (201-1995, college: Texas Southern) chipped in 17 points and 5 assists. American-Dominican forward AJ Bramah (201-1999, college: Nevada) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 17 rebounds and point guard Ryoya Arakawa (170-1995) added 16 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Tokushima Gam. have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with 7 other teams. Gifu at the other side keeps the eleventh place with four games lost. They share the position with Tokyo Z and Shinagawa. Tokushima Gam. will again meet at home Gifu (#12) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Gifu will have a break next round.
