Regular Season Round 7: Yamaguchi - Veertien Mie 77-72

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both sixteenth ranked Yamaguchi and 15th ranked Veertien Mie had identical 1-5 record. This time Yamaguchi used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Yokkaichi 77-72 on Saturday night. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Yamaguchi made 8 blocks. American forward Deandre Abram (203-1997, college: Milwaukee) fired a double-double by scoring 24 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. His fellow American import guard Desmond Jackson (185-1992, college: AAMU) chipped in 21 points, 8 rebounds and 6 blocks (perfect from the field making all ten shots !!!). American forward Josh Martin (201-1995, college: Santa Clara) produced a double-double by scoring 28 points and 14 rebounds and forward Abu Philip (198-1997) added 17 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Yamaguchi (2-5) moved-up to fourteenth place. Veertien Mie lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixteenth position with six games lost. They share it with Kanazawa. Yamaguchi will again meet at home Veertien Mie (#17) in the next round.
