No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Sea Horses M. (4-3) outleveled on the road bottom-ranked Toyama G. (0-7) 90-59 on Wednesday. They outrebounded Toyama G. 45-22 including a 36-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Jake Layman (206-1994, college: Maryland) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. His fellow American import power forward Davante Gardner (203-1991, college: Marquette) chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Sea Horses M. players scored in double figures. Filipino-British power forward AJ Edu (208-2000, college: Toledo) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and American forward Novar Gadson (201-1989, college: Rider) added 14 points respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Sea Horses M.. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Chiba Jets. Toyama G. lost their seventh game in a row.
