Regular Season Round 2: Yamaguchi - Shinagawa 80-95

Very expected game when Yamaguchi was defeated at home by Shinagawa 95-80 on Sunday. Shinagawa outrebounded Yamaguchi 44-31 including 17 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. U.S. Virgin Islands forward Shaquan Jules (201-1999, college: Radford) had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American center Hayden Koval (216-1997, college: Cincinnati, agency: Diamond Sports) chipped in 15 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Five Shinagawa players scored in double figures. American swingman Jelan-Miguel Kendrick (201-1991, college: UNLV, agency: Interperformances) responded with 25 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and his fellow American import forward Deandre Abram (203-1997, college: Milwaukee) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Shinagawa will meet at home Tokyo HT in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Yamaguchi will play against Toyoda in Aichi and hope to win that game.
