Regular Season Round 56: Hiroshima D. - Shinshu BW 80-83

There was a small surprise when third ranked Shinshu BW (26-28) edged on the road their close opponent Hiroshima D. (39-16) 83-80 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of American Anthony McHenry (202-1983, college: Georgia Tech) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international guard Yuta Okada (189-1998) who added 16 points and 4 assists during the contest. Five Shinshu BW players scored in double figures. American forward Kerry Blackshear Jr (208-1997, college: Florida) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import forward Dwayne Evans (201-1992, college: St.Louis, agency: Pensack Sports) scored 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Hiroshima D.'s coach Kyle Milling tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Shinshu BW maintains third position with 26-28 record having thirteen points less than leader Shimane SM. Loser Hiroshima D. dropped to the fourth place with 16 games lost. Shinshu BW will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Hiroshima D. will play again against Shinshu BW (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
