Everything went according to plan when second ranked Ryukyu GK (43-11) beat on the road 6th ranked FE Nagoya (21-33) 76-69 on Wednesday. Americans were the main players on the court. Power forward Allen Durham (198-1988, college: Grace Christian) fired a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Power forward Jack Cooley (206-1991, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Durham is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Ryukyu GK players scored in double figures. Ryukyu GK's coach Dai Oketani used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Power forward Johnathan Williams III (206-1995, college: Gonzaga, agency: Slash Sports) produced 21 points and 9 rebounds and forward Jeremy Jones (201-1996, college: Gonzaga) added 18 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Ryukyu GK. They maintain second place with 43-11 record having just six point less than leader Shimane SM. Newly promoted FE Nagoya keeps the sixth position with 33 games lost. They share it with Kyoto H.. Ryukyu GK will meet at home Hitachi SRT (#4) in the next round.
