Regular Season Round 50: Tachikawa - Shinagawa 74-94
Date: April 8, 2023
Bottom-ranked Shinagawa managed to get a eighth victory, breaking the five-game losing streak. This time they outleveled fourteenth-ranked Tachikawa 94-74. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 20-point difference proves that Shinagawa was well-prepared to that game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Tachikawa. They made 22-of-27 charity shots (81.5 percent) during the game. Shinagawa players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. American forward AJ Bramah (201-1999, college: Nevada) scored 33 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Canadian center Renaldo Dixon (206-1990, college: NM State) chipped in 16 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Four Shinagawa players scored in double figures. American center Emondre Rickman (208-1996, college: Indiana St., agency: One Motive Sports) responded with 15 points and 6 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Tristin Walley (201-1996, college: Arkansas St., agency: One Motive Sports) scored 7 points and 13 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Shinagawa maintains sixteenth position with 8-43 record. Newly promoted Tachikawa keeps the fourteenth place with 37 games lost. Shinagawa will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tachikawa will play again at home against Shinagawa (#16) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
