Regular Season Round 53: Ehime OV - Saga B. 77-83

Rather expected game in Matsuyama where 4th placed Ehime OV (25-31) was defeated by first ranked Saga B. (42-14) 83-77 on Friday. The best player for the winners was American Chase Fieler (202-1992, college: FGCU) who scored 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. His fellow American import forward Terrance King (198-1990, college: ESU, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 19 points and 9 rebounds. Saga B.'s coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Point guard Takumi Furuno (179-1993) produced 20 points and 6 assists and American-Filipino forward Eugene Phelps (198-1990, college: LBSU) added 14 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Saga B. maintains first place with 42-14 record. Loser Ehime OV keeps the fourth position with 31 games lost. Saga B. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Ehime OV will play again against the league's leader Saga B. (#1) and hope to secure a win.
