Regular Season Round 52: Chiba - Kumamoto V. 66-62

An interesting game for Chiba (42-12) which hosted in Chiba 3rd ranked Kumamoto V. (31-23). First ranked Chiba managed to get a 4-point victory 66-62. Chiba dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Kumamoto V.'s 32. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The winners were led by American Brandon Ashley (206-1994, college: Arizona) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 15 points, 17 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import power forward Evan Ravenel (204-1989, college: Ohio St.) supported him with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Even 15 points and 6 rebounds by British forward Benjamin Lawson (216-1995, college: WKU) did not help to save the game for Kumamoto V.. American center Jamel McLean (202-1988, college: Xavier) added 11 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Kumamoto V.'s coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Chiba have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted Chiba maintains first position with 42-12 record. Loser Kumamoto V. keeps the third place with 23 games lost. Chiba will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kumamoto V. will play against Bambitious N. and hope to secure a win.
