Regular Season Round 48: Shizuoka - Okayama 79-81

The most exciting game of round 48 in the B3 League took place in Shizuoka. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of higher ranked Shizuoka (39-10) to seventh ranked Okayama (27-22) 81-79 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Shizuoka. Okayama made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. The best for the losing side was Bahamas forward Tavario Miller (203-1994, college: Texas A&M) with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and Argentinian forward Alexis Elsener (195-1988, agency: Interperformances) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Okayama maintains seventh position with 27-22 record. Shizuoka at the other side keeps the third place with ten games lost. They share the position with Kagoshima. Okayama will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Shizuoka will play again at home against Okayama and is hoping to win this game.
