Not a big story in a game when 12th ranked Tokyo HT (15-33) was defeated at home by second ranked Saitama (40-8) 95-77 on Saturday. American power forward Ryan Watkins (206-1991, college: Boise St., agency: Slash Sports) had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Aiki Tanno (172-1995) chipped in 18 points during the contest. Five Saitama players scored in double figures. At the losing side Spanish center David Doblas (208-1981) responded with 22 points and 7 rebounds and American power forward Justin Baker (203-1989, college: Utah Valley) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Saitama have an impressive eight-game winning streak.
