Regular Season Round 46: Tokyo Z - Kumamoto V. 81-82

Seventh-ranked Tokyo Z (13-36) used its home court advantage to challenge third ranked Kumamoto V. (28-21). The visitors from Kumamoto managed to secure only one-point victory 82-81. However their fans expected much easier game. Kumamoto V. dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Tokyo Z's 34. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. American center Jamel McLean (202-1988, college: Xavier) had a double-double by scoring 31 points and 15 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and British forward Benjamin Lawson (216-1995, college: WKU) chipped in 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side American power forward Reginald Buckner (206-1991, college: Ole Miss) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and forward Junki Kano (192-1988) scored 21 points. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Kumamoto V. maintains third position with 28-21 record having nine points less than leader Chiba. Tokyo Z at the other side keeps the seventh place with 36 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
