Regular Season Round 42: FE Nagoya - Niigata A. 59-78

There was a small surprise when eighth ranked Niigata A. (6-35) outplayed on the road 5th ranked FE Nagoya (19-22) 78-59 on Saturday. They outrebounded FE Nagoya 40-25 including 26 on the defensive glass. American forward Keve Aluma (206-1998, college: Virginia Tech, agency: Pensack Sports) notched a double-double by scoring 13 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and Hungarian-American Rosco Allen (208-1993, college: Stanford, agency: Pensack Sports) supported him with 21 points and 6 rebounds. Four Niigata A. players scored in double figures. Even 14 points and 9 rebounds by American power forward Johnathan Williams III (206-1995, college: Gonzaga) did not help to save the game for FE Nagoya. International Luke Evans (203-1991, college: CBU) added 10 points. FE Nagoya's coach Garcia Reynaldo Kawabe rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Niigata A. maintains eighth position with 6-35 record, which they share with Shiga L-Stars. Newly promoted FE Nagoya dropped to the fourth place with 22 games lost. They share the position with Osaka E. and Shinshu BW. Niigata A. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. FE Nagoya will play again against Niigata A. (#8) and hope to secure a win.
