Important game to mention about took place in Matsuyama. Seventh ranked Tokyo Z (11-34) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 4th ranked Ehime OV (21-24) 81-79 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Ehime OV. Strangely Ehime OV outrebounded Tokyo Z 43-31 including 16 on the offensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. It was a good game for American power forward Ishmael Lane (203-1997, college: NSU) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 6 rebounds. The other American import guard Addison Spruill (195-1993, college: UNCW) contributed with 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Tokyo Z's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American-Filipino forward Eugene Phelps (198-1990, college: LBSU) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds and American-German power forward Ryan Kriener (208-1998, college: Iowa, agency: Pensack Sports) added 12 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Ehime OV. Five Ehime OV players scored in double figures. Tokyo Z maintains seventh position with 11-34 record. Ehime OV at the other side keeps the fourth place with 24 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
