Regular Season Round 41: Tokyo Z - Fukushima 61-98

Very expected game when 7th ranked Tokyo Z (10-33) was crushed at home by third ranked Fukushima (21-22) 98-61 on Sunday. Fukushima looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Tokyo Z's players. The best player for the winners was American forward Josh Harrellson (208-1989, college: Kentucky) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points, 17 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 blocks. Venezuelan center Gregory Echenique (206-1990, college: Creighton, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 11 points and 5 assists. Four Fukushima players scored in double figures. American guard Addison Spruill (195-1993, college: UNCW) produced 16 points and the other American import power forward Ishmael Lane (203-1997, college: NSU) added 10 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fukushima have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 21-22 record having eleven points less than leader Saga B. Tokyo Z lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 33 games lost. Fukushima will meet league's second-placed Chiba on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Tokyo Z will play against Ehime OV (#4) in Matsuyama and hope to secure a win.
