Regular Season Round 36: Tokyo HT - Tachikawa 80-61

Everything went according to plan when twelfth ranked Tokyo HT (12-26) outscored at home 15th ranked Tachikawa (10-28) 80-61 on Saturday. Tokyo HT dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Tachikawa's 32. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was power forward John Fields (205-1988, college: Tennessee, agency: Octagon Europe) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds. Power forward Justin Baker (203-1989, college: Utah Valley) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Baker is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Five Tokyo HT players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Tristin Walley (201-1996, college: Arkansas St., agency: One Motive Sports) who recorded 7 points and 9 rebounds and center Emondre Rickman (208-1996, college: Indiana St., agency: One Motive Sports) added 9 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Tokyo HT maintains twelfth position with 12-26 record. Newly promoted Tachikawa keeps the fifteenth place with 28 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
