Regular Season Round 36: Bambitious N. - Fukushima 73-68

There was a small surprise in Nara where sixth ranked Bambitious N. (12-26) beat 4th ranked Fukushima (17-21) 73-68 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Naoki Uto (188-1991) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 8 rebounds and Senegalese center Cheikh Mbodj (208-1987, college: Cincinnati) who added 14 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four Bambitious N. players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Venezuelan center Gregory Echenique (206-1990, college: Creighton, agency: Pensack Sports) with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds and American forward Josh Harrellson (208-1989, college: Kentucky) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Bambitious N. maintains sixth position with 12-26 record. Loser Fukushima keeps the fourth place with 21 games lost. They share the position with Ehime OV and Nishinomiya S.. Bambitious N. will again meet at home higher ranked Fukushima (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Fukushima will have a break next round.
