Regular Season Round 35: Ehime OV - Bambitious N. 80-70

Rather expected game in Matsuyama where 6th ranked Bambitious N. (11-26) was defeated by fourth ranked Ehime OV (17-20) 80-70 on Sunday. Ehime OV dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Bambitious N.'s 26. The best player for the winners was American-Filipino forward Eugene Phelps (198-1990, college: LBSU) who scored 21 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Takumi Furuno (179-1993) chipped in 11 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. American guard Christian James (194-1996, college: Oklahoma) produced 31 points and 8 rebounds and American-Portuguese Jeremiah Wilson (205-1988, college: Tarleton St.) added 7 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Bambitious N.'s coach gave the chance to play for eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Ehime OV maintains fourth place with 17-20 record, which they share with Fukushima. Loser Bambitious N. keeps the sixth position with 26 games lost. Ehime OV will meet Kagawa FA (#7) in the next round. Bambitious N. will play against Fukushima and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
