Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked Niigata R. (2-14) lost to tenth ranked Aranmare A. (7-11) in Tokyo 65-69 on Sunday. Guard Asuka Hiramatsu (162-1994) notched 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and forward Hitomi Kawase (174-1993) supported her with 12 points and 9 rebounds. Aranmare A.'s coach Hirofumi Kojima used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Even a double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds by Naomi Kitagawa (174-1994) did not help to save the game for Niigata R.. Guard Nakamura Hana (172-2003) added 18 points. Aranmare A. have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to ninth place. Niigata R. lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 14 games lost. Aranmare A. will meet Aishin AW (#10) in the next round. Niigata R. will play against Eneos S. in Kashiwa and hope to secure a win.
