Regular Season Round 17: Toyota BSR - Chanson V-M 53-60

The game between third ranked Toyota BSR (12-5) and eighth ranked Chanson V-M (9-8) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Toyota BSR was defeated by Chanson V-M in a tough game in Aichi 53-60. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Toyota BSR. Chanson V-M dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Toyota BSR's 26. The best player for the winners was center Itsuki Hashiguchi (178-1999) who scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. Point guard Kuke Haruka (166-1995) chipped in 8 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. The former international center Miyuki Kawamura (185-1994) produced 15 points and 7 rebounds and international Nanako Todo (175-2000) added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Chanson V-M moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Hitachi Cougars. Toyota BSR at the other side dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. Chanson V-M will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Toyota BSR will play again at home against Chanson V-M (#7) and is hoping to win this game.
