Regular Season Round 31: Ryukyu GK - FE Nagoya 76-64

The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Ryukyu GK's (22-8) home victory over 5th ranked FE Nagoya (18-12) in Okinawa 76-64 on Wednesday. Ryukyu GK outrebounded FE Nagoya 39-27 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for the former international swingman Keita Imamura (191-1996) who led the winners and scored 23 points and 8 rebounds. American power forward Allen Durham (198-1988, college: Grace Christian) accounted for 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Durham is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American power forward Johnathan Williams III (206-1995, college: Gonzaga) came up with 17 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import forward Jeremy Jones (201-1996, college: Gonzaga) added 17 points and 8 rebounds respectively for FE Nagoya in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ryukyu GK moved-up to third place, which they share with Nagoya DD. Newly promoted FE Nagoya still keeps top position with 12 games lost. They share it with Kawasaki BT and Yokohama BC. Ryukyu GK will meet league's leader Kawasaki BT in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. FE Nagoya will play against Tochigi Brex and hope to secure a win.
