Leader Shizuoka delivered the twenty sixth win on Friday night. This time they beat 9th ranked Tokyo HT (10-18) 67-57. The best player for the winners was Bahamas forward Tavario Miller (203-1994, college: Texas A&M) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. Point guard Atomu Yamada (179-1998) chipped in 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Miller is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Shizuoka players scored in double figures. Senegalese forward Bamba Diouf (198-1993) produced 9 points and 9 rebounds and Kodai Takahashi (180-1991) added 13 points respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Shizuoka (26-2) have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Tokyo HT at the other side keeps the ninth place with 18 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
