No shocking result in a game when first ranked Chiba (25-5) outleveled at home 7th ranked Tokyo Z (5-25) 96-65 on Saturday. Chiba dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Tokyo Z's 38. They outrebounded Tokyo Z 46-26 including 18 on the offensive glass. Chiba looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Tokyo Z's players. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was forward Leo Lyons (206-1987, college: Missouri) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Brandon Ashley (206-1994, college: Arizona) chipped in 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Chiba players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Addison Spruill (195-1993, college: UNCW) who recorded 21 points and power forward Ishmael Lane (203-1997, college: NSU) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Chiba have an impressive series of fourteen victories in a row. Newly promoted Chiba maintains first place with 25-5 record. Tokyo Z lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 25 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
