Very predictable result when fourth ranked Saitama (18-5) beat at home 10th ranked Veertien Mie (8-15) 72-62 on Saturday. The game was dominated by American players. Power forward Ryan Watkins (206-1991, college: Boise St., agency: Slash Sports) had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Grant Sitton (206-1993, college: Victoria) chipped in 14 points and 4 assists during the contest. Four Saitama players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Tucker Haymond (198-1994, college: W.Michigan) responded with 18 points and 5 rebounds and forward Josh Martin (201-1995, college: Santa Clara) scored 8 points and 12 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Saitama have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 18-5 record. Newly promoted Veertien Mie keeps the tenth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Kanazawa.
