Regular Season Round 22: Shizuoka - Tachikawa 70-60

Leader Shizuoka delivered the twenty second victory on Friday night. This time they beat 15th ranked Tachikawa (6-18) 70-60. Shizuoka forced 19 Tachikawa turnovers. Argentinian forward Alexis Elsener (195-1988, agency: Interperformances) scored 23 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American center Kenny Lawson (207-1988, college: Creighton) chipped in 16 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Elsener is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Shizuoka players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Tristin Walley (201-1996, college: Arkansas St., agency: One Motive Sports) responded with 10 points and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Scott Blakney (203-1998, college: Montana) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Shizuoka (22-2) have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Tachikawa lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifteenth place with 18 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
