There was a surprise result when fifteenth ranked Tachikawa (5-14) beat on the road higher ranked Yamaguchi (6-13) 94-90 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was American forward Tristin Walley (201-1996, college: Arkansas St., agency: One Motive Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds. The other American import forward Scott Blakney (203-1998, college: Montana) chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Jamaican-British center Ryan Richards (212-1991) who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists and American power forward Michael Phillips (202-1990, college: Howard) added 22 points respectively. Five Tachikawa and four Yamaguchi players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Newly promoted Tachikawa maintains fifteenth position with 5-14 record. Yamaguchi lost third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with 13 games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Tachikawa will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Yamaguchi will play again against Tachikawa (#15) and hope to secure a win.
