Very predictable result when third ranked Iwate (14-3) outscored on the road 8th ranked Tokyo HT (7-10) 82-57 on Saturday. Iwate forced 24 Tokyo HT turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Kristian Doolittle (201-1997, college: Oklahoma, agency: Pensack Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds and power forward Gerald Beverly (202-1993, college: Daemen) who added 20 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) during the contest. Four Iwate players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Robert Sampson (203-1992, college: Georgia Tech) responded with 15 points and 9 rebounds and power forward Justin Baker (203-1989, college: Utah Valley) scored 11 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Iwate have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 14-3 record having just three points less than leader Kagoshima. Loser Tokyo HT keeps the eighth place with ten games lost. Iwate will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tokyo HT will play again against Iwate (#3) and hope to secure a win.
