Regular Season Round 12: Gifu - Toyoda 76-87

The game between closely ranked teams ended with thirteenth ranked Toyoda's (4-9) road victory over 14th ranked Gifu (2-11) 87-76 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was Guamanian-American guard Earnest Ross (198-1991, college: Missouri, agency: Haylett Sports) who scored 39 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. German center Yasin Kolo (208-1992, college: Bellarmine) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Jerrell Wright (204-1991, college: La Salle) who recorded 16 points and Senegalese power forward Andre Sambou (203-1999) added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Toyoda moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Veertien Mie. Gifu lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Tachikawa. Toyoda will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Gifu will play again against Toyoda (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
