Regular Season Round 12: Saitama - Tokyo HT 95-80

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 8th ranked Tokyo HT's (6-8) road loss to seventh ranked Saitama (9-5) 80-95 on Saturday. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was power forward Ryan Watkins (206-1991, college: Boise St., agency: Slash Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points and 19 rebounds. Grant Sitton (206-1993, college: Victoria) chipped in 28 points. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward John Fields (205-1988, college: Tennessee, agency: Octagon Europe) who recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and 20 rebounds and forward Robert Sampson (203-1992, college: Georgia Tech) added 21 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Five Saitama and four Tokyo HT players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Saitama moved-up to sixth place. Tokyo HT lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with eight games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
