The game between closely ranked teams ended with 8th ranked Tokyo HT's (6-8) road loss to seventh ranked Saitama (9-5) 92-101 on Friday. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward John Fields (205-1988, college: Tennessee, agency: Octagon Europe) who recorded a double-double by scoring 30 points and 16 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field) and forward Robert Sampson (203-1992, college: Georgia Tech) added 29 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Saitama moved-up to sixth place. Tokyo HT lost third consecutive game.
