Very expected game when 7th ranked Sendai 89ers (3-6) were defeated on the road by third ranked Alvark Tokyo (6-3) 71-54 on Wednesday. Spanish Sebastian Saiz (205-1994, college: Ole Miss) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and American center Alex Kirk (211-1991, college: N.Mexico, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 8 points and 8 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American forward Rashawn Thomas (203-1994, college: TAMUCC) with 20 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import Nathan Boothe (206-1994, college: Toledo) scored 16 points. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Alvark Tokyo.
