Regular Season Round 49: Toyama G. - Yokohama BC 92-76

There was a minor upset when their close opponent Yokohama BC (16-29) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked Toyama G. (18-29) 92-76 on Sunday. It was a great shooting night for Toyama G. especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. American forward Brice Johnson (206-1994, college: UNC) fired a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Zimbabwean-American forward Julian Mavunga (203-1990, college: Miami, OH, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 19 points and 7 assists. Czech Patrik Auda (204-1989, college: Seton Hall, agency: Octagon Europe) produced 24 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and the former international Masaaki Morikawa (190-1992) added 26 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Toyama G. maintains eighth place with 18-29 record which they share with defeated Yokohama BC. Yokohama BC lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 29 games lost. Toyama G. will meet at home higher ranked Chiba Jets (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Yokohama BC will play against Niigata A. (#11) and hope to secure a win.
