There was no surprise in Tokyo where 10th ranked Yokohama EX (11-23) was defeated by sixth ranked Aisin AW (22-14) 89-83 on Saturday. Aisin AW made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Yokohama EX helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Jordan Faison (201-1994, college: CPP) fired 26 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Point guard Sora Suzuki (180-1997) chipped in 20 points and 4 assists. Four Aisin AW players scored in double figures. Canadian forward Mamadou Gueye (201-1993, college: Alberta) produced 28 points and 8 rebounds and American Isaac Copeland (206-1995, college: Nebraska) added 21 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Aisin AW have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain sixth place with 22-14 record. Yokohama EX lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with 23 games lost. Aisin AW are looking forward to face Tokyo HT (#9) at home in the next round. Yokohama EX will play against the league's second-placed Kagoshima in Renova and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
