Regular Season Round 30: Nagoya DD - Hokkaido L. 89-77

Very predictable result when second ranked Nagoya DD (20-8) defeated at home 7th ranked Hokkaido L. (11-17) 89-77. Nagoya DD forced 20 Hokkaido L. turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American forward Coty Clarke (201-92, college: Arkansas) notched 28 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and the former international point guard Takumi Saito (172-95) supported him with 17 points and 9 assists. Even a double-double of 27 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists by American forward Shawn Long (208-93, college: La-Lafayette, agency: Pensack Sports) did not help to save the game for Hokkaido L.. His fellow American import DeMon Brooks (202-92, college: Davidson) added 16 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Nagoya DD maintains second position with 20-8 record behind leader Ryukyu GK. Hokkaido L. lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with 17 games lost. Nagoya DD will play against league's second-placed Alvark Tokyo on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hokkaido L. will play against Niigata A. (#11) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
