Regular Season Round 15: Denso I. - Haneda V. 80-71

WJBL top team - Denso I. (15-1) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat eleventh ranked Haneda V. (2-12) in Kariya 80-71. Denso I. forced 26 Haneda V. turnovers. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Sanae Motokawa (176-92) who scored 16 points. The former international center Sakura Akaho (184-96) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Yuriko Tsumura (172-95) who recorded 16 points (perfect from the field making all six shots) and guard Hikaru Jikumaru (167-97) added 12 points respectively. Five Denso I. and four Haneda V. players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fifteenth consecutive win for Denso I.. Despite that victory Denso I. went down to second position due to points difference. Haneda V. lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the eleventh place with 12 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
