Regular Season Round 24: Akita NH - Hitachi SRT 72-52

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 5th ranked Hitachi SRT (15-9) was crushed on the road by sixth ranked Akita NH (15-9) 72-52 on Wednesday. Akita NH had a 28-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American forward Alex Davis (206-92, college: Fresno St.) who had a double-double by scoring 10 points, 11 rebounds and 5 blocks. Point guard Takuya Nakayama (182-94) chipped in 12 points and 7 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward James McAdoo (206-93, college: UNC, agency: Slash Sports) who recorded 15 points and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Josh Harrellson (208-89, college: Kentucky) added 6 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Akita NH moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Hitachi SRT. Akita NH will meet Shiga L-Stars (#8) on the road in the next round. Hitachi SRT will play against Niigata A. (#11) and hope to secure a win.
