Regular Season Round 19: Aomori W. - Tokyo Z 64-83

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when seventh ranked Tokyo Z (3-17) crushed on the road 6th ranked Aomori W. (2-17) 83-64 on Sunday. They outrebounded Aomori W. 41-26 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Tokyo Z looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Aomori W.'s players. It was an exceptional evening for American-Haitian forward Marc-Eddy Norelia (203-93, college: FGCU, agency: Duran International) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 19 rebounds and 8 assists. American center Joshua Crawford (211-88, college: Indiana St.) accounted for 21 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side. Tokyo Z's coach Hugo Lopez used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Canadian center Renaldo Dixon (206-90, college: NM State) came up with 16 points and 7 rebounds and Hiroki Usui (193-96) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Aomori W. in the defeat. Five Tokyo Z and four Aomori W. players scored in double figures. Tokyo Z moved-up to sixth place. Loser Aomori W. dropped to the seventh position with 17 games lost. Tokyo Z will meet at home higher ranked Kumamoto V. (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Aomori W. will play against the league's second-placed Fukushima and hope to secure a win.
