Regular Season Round 15: Saga B. - Kagawa FA 86-91

Rather predictable result when first ranked Kagawa FA (12-3) beat on the road 4th placed Saga B. (6-9) 91-86 on Sunday. Kagawa FA made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for American guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 10 assists. Australian forward Rhys Vague (206-96) helped adding 21 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Woodbury is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was British forward Myles Hesson (198-90) with 28 points and American center Garrett Stutz (214-90, college: Wichita St.) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. Kagawa FA maintains first place with 12-3 record. Loser Saga B. dropped to the fifth position with nine games lost. Kagawa FA will meet at home Ehime OV (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Saga B. will play against the league's leader FE Nagoya and hope to secure a win.
