An interesting game was also tough home defeat of 4th ranked Fukuoka R. in a game versus Koshigaya A. (#4) 93-89. Koshigaya A. outrebounded Fukuoka R. 42-31 including 29 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American center Isaac Butts (208-89, college: App State) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 16 rebounds. Swingman Makoto Kamata (193-0) accounted for 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Koshigaya A.'s coach Sho Higashijima used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Forward Junpei Honda (190-88) came up with 19 points and Jamaican center Jerome Jordan (215-86, college: Tulsa) added 15 points respectively for Fukuoka R. in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Koshigaya A.. They moved-up to third place. Loser Fukuoka R. dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
