Regular Season Round 7: Niigata A. - Sea Horses M. 75-77

Everything went according to plan when third ranked Sea Horses M. (6-2) edged on the road 10th ranked Niigata A. (2-6) 77-75 on Saturday. Strangely Niigata A. outrebounded Sea Horses M. 37-21 including 25 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for American power forward Davante Gardner (203-91, college: Marquette) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 5 assists. Point guard Satoshi Nagano (175-95) helped adding 11 points and 7 assists. Four Sea Horses M. players scored in double figures. At the losing side Hungarian-American Rosco Allen (208-93, college: Stanford, agency: Pensack Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and South African center Tshilidzi Nephawe (208-89, college: NM State) scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Sea Horses M.. They moved-up to second place. Niigata A. lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the tenth position with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
