Regular Season Round 1: Kagawa FA - Tokyo Z 89-82

Kagawa FA used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Tokyo 89-82 on Saturday night. Kagawa FA made 30-of-36 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game, while Tokyo Z only scored seven points from the stripe. Kagawa FA looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Australian center Angus Brandt (208-89, college: Oregon St.) nailed 26 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winning side and American guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) accounted for 17 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!). Woodbury is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American-Haitian forward Marc-Eddy Norelia (203-93, college: FGCU, agency: Duran International) came up with 23 points and 9 rebounds and American center Joshua Crawford (211-88, college: Indiana St.) added 14 points and 14 rebounds respectively for Tokyo Z in the defeat. Five Kagawa FA and four Tokyo Z players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Kagawa FA will again meet at home Tokyo Z in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Tokyo Z will have a break next round.
