Quarter-Finals Round 2: Gunma - Yamagata 79-60

Gunma toppled Yamagata to advance into the semifinal stage. Gunma dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Yamagata's 22. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American power forward Justin Keenan (202-89, college: Ferris St.) who had a double-double by scoring 30 points and 10 rebounds. Naturalized American forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Gunma players scored in double figures. American forward Scootie Randall (198-90, college: Temple) produced 14 points and 8 rebounds and guard Ryohei Kawabe (188-95) added 11 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games.
