Regular Season Round 45: Chiba J. - Niigata A. 104-65

There was no surprise when 10th ranked Niigata A. (12-33) was crushed on the road by second ranked Chiba J. (33-12) 104-65 on Wednesday. Chiba J. dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Niigata A.'s 34. They outrebounded Niigata A. 45-22 including a 14-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. Chiba J. looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Niigata A.'s players. The best player for the winners was Spanish forward Sebastian Saiz (205-94, college: Ole Miss) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 22 rebounds. American power forward Josh Duncan (203-86) chipped in 18 points. Five Chiba J. players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Hungarian-American Rosco Allen (208-93, college: Stanford, agency: Pensack Sports) who recorded 22 points and 5 rebounds and American-Bulgarian center Jason Washburn (213-90, college: Utah, agency: Pensack Sports) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Chiba J. maintains second place with 33-12 record behind leader Tochigi B. Niigata A. lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 33 games lost. Chiba J. will face league's leader Ryukyu GK in Okinawa in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Niigata A. will play at home against Shimane Magic (#5) and hope to win that game.
