They outrebounded Kanazawa 41-29 including 29 on the defensive glass. 25 personal fouls committed by Kanazawa helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American forward Chris Olivier (202-92, college: OK State) who scored 22 points and 9 rebounds. Senegalese forward Bamba Diouf (198-93) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds.
