An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Mito. Second ranked Ibaraki R. faced 3rd placed Saga B.. Host Ibaraki R. (29-12) defeated guests from Saga (23-20) 74-59. Canadian-Italian power forward Marc Trasolini (206-90, college: Santa Clara) fired a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) chipped in 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Ibaraki R.'s coach Richard Glesmann used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Cuban guard Reynaldo Garcia (187-90) produced 21 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals and the former international power forward Ryota Nakanishi (199-88) added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Ibaraki R.. They maintain second place with 29-12 record having just one point less than leader Gunma. Saga B. lost their third game in a row. They keep the third position with 20 games lost. Ibaraki R. will face league's leader Nishinomiya S. in Hyogo in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Saga B. will play at home against the league's second-placed FE Nagoya and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
