Regular Season Round 34: Tochigi B. - Niigata A. 74-67

There was no surprise when 9th ranked Niigata A. (9-25) was defeated on the road by first ranked Tochigi B. (27-7) 74-67 on Sunday. American power forward Josh Scott (208-93, college: Colorado, agency: Pensack Sports) had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward Jeffrey Gibbs (188-80, college: Otterbein) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Tochigi B.'s coach Ryuzo Anzai used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American-North Macedonian power forward Richard Hendrix (203-86, college: Alabama) responded with 28 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and Hungarian-American Rosco Allen (208-93, college: Stanford, agency: Pensack Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Tochigi B. have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 27-7 record. Niigata A. lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 25 games lost. Tochigi B. will face Hokkaido L. (#10) in Saporro in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Niigata A. will play at home against Toshiba Thunders and hope to win that game.
