Very important is a road loss of third ranked Okayama (5-3) against sixth ranked Aisin AW (4-2) on Saturday night. Visiting Okayama was crushed by Aisin AW in Aichi 81-55. Aisin AW forced 20 Okayama turnovers and outrebounded them 42-31 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of Kyle Richardson (200-91, college: Portland St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds. Center Markhuri Sanders-Frison (203-88, college: California) contributed with 7 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Forward Jeffrey Parmer (203-85, college: FAU) replied with 10 points and 9 rebounds and forward Chris Washburn (203-93, college: TCU) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Okayama. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Aisin AW moved-up to fifth place. Okayama at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost. They share it with Gifu. Aisin AW will again play against higher ranked Okayama (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Okayama will have a break next round.
